One idea a day, at an unexpected moment.
Every day, a notification arrives when you least expect it. You have five minutes to start writing. After that, take all the time you need.
A little date with yourself.
-
The moment comes without warning
One notification a day, at a time drawn at random within the hours you choose.
-
Five minutes to start
Enough to put down the first words. Once you’ve started, the clock stops counting.
-
Your idea stays
It joins your journal under today’s date, and stays there as long as you like.
Your ideas deserve to stay.
They often show up at the wrong moment, and vanish too quickly. idée gives you a tiny ritual to keep them: just one idea a day, at a moment you don’t choose.
There’s no feed or score to watch: only a question, and a few lines of your own.
Everything you need, nothing more.
- A calm journal
- Your ideas in order, month by month and week by week. Search for a word, reread, edit, share.
- Your pace, no judgement
- Gentle statistics: days of inspiration, words written. No streak to keep alive.
- Day and night
- Clouds, dawn light and serif lettering. An indigo dark mode for the evening.
- Your data stays yours
- No ads, no tracking. Without an account, everything stays on your iPhone. With an optional account, your journal is backed up on servers in Europe. Export as text or JSON at any time.
Questions
What if I miss the notification?
The day ends without an idea, and that’s fine. Tomorrow, a new moment arrives. If you started writing in time, your draft waits for you, even after the five minutes.
Can I write more than one idea a day?
No, on purpose. One idea a day helps you choose the one that matters.
Do I need an account?
No. The account is optional: it only backs up your journal online so you can get it back on a new iPhone.
What about Android?
For now, idée is only available on iPhone (iOS 17 or later).
What happens to my email address?
It’s used for a single email, the day idée arrives on the App Store. Then it’s deleted. To remove it before that, write to contact@idee-app.fr.
Be there on day one.
We’ll write to you once, when idée arrives on the App Store.
